![]() Only buy the DLC's if you're going to play in that region. And I believe the Chain of Command system too. Decisions were also added into the game, which was sorely needed. It also adds the option for Germany to restore the former Monarchy that was deposed after WW1. It adds trees to Japan, China and the smaller warlords, along with Manchukuo- where you can restore Qing China, amongst other options. I never touched it personally- not my thing. It adds Border Wars, meaning you can fight smaller wars between the Chinese Warlords to take land without fighting an all-out war. This focussed on Japan, China, and the Chinese Warlords and their conflicts with the main government of China- the Peoples Republic of China too. This one also had a lot of kickback because of the alt-history added- you can become Communist as Japan for example, people felt that was too far fetched, but others loved it. The AI quite often say no unless it's older tech, which means it's mostly used for Multiplayer where players will say yes to help you out. In my opinion, the worst DLC released as it added in a lot of issues to the game, most of which are now fixed, and the mechanic they added with it was the ability to licence equipment- which means you can ask the AI to let you build tanks they've researched, so you don't have to research them yourself, but they're slightly more expensive to build. These are more alt-history based, like using Hungary to restore the Austro-Hungarian Empire, for example. It's a good DLC but only really needed if you want to play the UK or it's colonies.ĭeath or Dishonor- The Balkan DLC, adds trees for Yugoslavia, Hungary, Romania and Czechslovakia. They can still offer equipment in the base game, as can you- but no ability to ask for it when you need it. I think it adds in Lend-Lease mechanics too- it allows you to ask a faction member to send you equipment. Together For Victory- Adds in Puppet mechanics, and Focus Trees for the British Commonwealth- India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa.
